Lifetime Achievement Award

NAFC is proud to present the NAFC Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Annual Conference to

Daron Friedman

Daron Friedman has been a member of NAFC since 1997 and is a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor, Clinically Certified Domestic Violence Counselor, and Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.

Daron Friedman has been working in the field of mental health and addiction for over 30 years.

During Mr. Friedman’s career, his focus has been on substance abuse, addiction, sexual aggression and reactivity, domestic violence, AIDS and with veterans and their families. His work in community mental health gave him opportunities to explore multiple treatment theories and interact with a variety of professionals and clients.

He was awarded a sabbatical to study domestic violence, aggression and sexual offending in Israel and he traveled with the rotary international group to Brazil to engage with medical, mental health professionals as well as authorities around issues of mental health treatment and AIDS.

Over the years Mr. Friedman has also been active in the community as both a chair member and past president of the Samaritans, Cheshire County Domestic Violence Coalition and AIDS services of the Monadnock region.

Since 2006, Mr. Friedman has been in private practice and he is presently the clinical supervisor for RUCK-UP, a community based volunteer support program for veterans.
